New Year’s Resolutions

New Year’s Resolutions

Happy New Year everyone! I cannot believe it is 2015 already and Christmas has been and gone for yet another year.

The New Year always brings with it the chance to set new goals and plan for the year ahead. Whether this is re-assessing career pathways, planning business development, saving for a trip overseas, or aiming to complete a fitness challenge, January 1st is always a great time to reaffirm life goals, big or small J

The challenge with resolutions is to keep them realistic and not let them become overwhelming so you give up straight away!  If it is a big goal you are working towards, set small steps to help make the pathway to the big goal easier and feel more achievable.

For example, if you have always wanted to be able to complete a 10km fun run, enter a few shorter distances first. Start out with the 5km Run for the Kids in April, then build up to the 8km Mothers Day Run in May, on your way to completing the 10km Run Melbourne in June. Joining a running group or fitness club is also a good way to keep motivated and have the support of others around you.

New Year’s Resolutions can also be about improving mental well-being, such as resolving to be more positive, to smile and laugh more or planning to spend more time with your family and friends. Or maybe it might be about finding better ways to deal with work or family stress….the perfect solution could be to make a regular remedial massage appointment with Cassie to help keep stress levels at bay and improve your general health and well-being.

Sorting out your nutrition and eating plan is another common New Year’s Resolutions. If this is the case, Margaret PMPP’s dietitian is available for consults to assist you in goal setting and planning for the year ahead.

The team at PMPP wish you all the best for a successful and happy 2015, and we are always here to help with your health and fitness needs. See you soon!
