Whilst in the sunshine state Bella was one of five dietitians that developed and ran the Queensland Health funded, Queensland Country Women’s Association Country Kitchens program. The program involved hands on cooking workshops targeting rural and remote parts of the state to increase fruit and vegetable intake and recipe modification skills.
Since moving to Melbourne in 2016, Bella has worked in dietetics and public health nutrition research at Monash University in the Department of Nutrition, Dietetics and Food. Her role included one on one nutrition consultations at the Monash Dietetics Teaching Clinic. Her special interest areas include weight management, cooking for health and mindful eating.
Bella is currently undertaking a PhD at Monash University in best practice guidelines for cooking interventions in Australia. She works at PMPP on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and offers 1 hour Initial Consultations for new clients and 30 minute Review Consultations for further appointments.
Outside of work, Bella is Vice-Captain and winger for the North Melbourne Athletic FC Women’s Team. Other interests include cooking, bikram yoga and running. When she can, Bella enjoys traveling back to Queensland to see her family, and her two beloved beagles.
